For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

But because the trigger that is pulled is safely behind a monitor out of harms reach it suddenly becomes less humane and hence less ethical.
At least this way the inevitable atrocities of war can be blamed on the faceless men in government as opposed to the individual soldiers.Last edited by Ogie Oglethorpe; May 1, 2013, 09:13."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

It's a bit like abusing people on the Internet. You're more likely launch a fire and forget personal attack on a forum through the ether than you are in regular conversation in person.
I have no real concerns over drones, but would acknowledge that as the valid argumentOne day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

It's not that it's less humane than the alternative, it's that the decision to pull the trigger is more likely to be made if you have fewer risks to self. No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Mixed metaphor.
The point I was making was that if you had a choice of sending in troops or doing nothing, you may decide to do nothing most times. If you have a choice of lobbing a missile from a drone or doing nothing, you may decide to take a punt most times.
If you HAVE to do something, drones all the way.One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
