That answer was to an idiotic question that insinuated that some of the victims were stabbed because they weren't armed.

Pools are more dangerous than guns.

And it's not like you can avoid them, due to all those innocents caught up in drive-by splashing.

I agree with this sentiment. Gun ownership doesn't cause senseless death. IRRESPONSIBLE gun ownership does. Much like a responsible driver doesn't cause accidents, but an IRRESPONSIBLE driver does.

Those against gun ownership are singling out one specific thing simply because their liberal demi-gods have told them it is bad.

The solution is to teach responsibility and accountability to children as they grow up...not make the world a safe "bubble" so everyone can be irresponsible without consequences. That is simply an impossible dream.

Oh for christ's sake, objects don't have some sort of "innate purpose" like this. My guns were not built to kill people. They were built to make money for their manufacturers. That's all.

Do you really want to go into this essentialism rabbit hole? Seriously? Because from an empirical point of view, only a tiny proportion of guns are used in crime, or any kind of violence whatsoever. It's well south of 1%.

Do commodities have some kind of soul to them that we need to discuss, let alone regulate? Are your hairbrushes really for brushing your hair, or are they for scratching your back? Is duct tape really for sealing leaks and quick DIY repairs, or is it actually a kinky S&M sex aid?

Your argument makes no sense. You could use a tank to go sightseeing, but only an idiot thinks that they should be on open sale to everyone.

Actually, it's not hard to buy a tank in this country if you have the cash. I think you just need the permits to drive it on roads and ****.

Objects have no innate purpose. What are they actually used for?

In the case of guns, it's not crime. Except very rarely.

They can damage public roads in certain places where the pavement isn't strong enough, other than special stuff to make them street legal I'm not aware of any restrictions. If you only drive it on private land I think they may actually be unregulated.

Only permit needed is to operate the gun, $200 destructive device tax stamp. Pocket change on a $75k tank.

If you want someone to build you a tank, there's really nothing stopping you. You might have to file some NFA forms to get the cannon built, and the shells are destructive devices and would be a pain in the ass to acquire, but totally legit.

Now, it would cost millions and millions of dollars, and no one would sell you one, but hey. It's legal.

Old tanks like Shermans and stuff I'm pretty sure you can just get, but they generally have the cannon removed.

So having a perfectly normal tank gun which could be used for hunting or target practice or home defence requires a permit? Fascism..

                                2 possible respones:

                                1. you are too stupid to walk and chew at the same time, in which case you are not worth my time.
                                2. you are trolling, in which case you are not worth my time.
