Yeah, there are a couple soccer fields, playgrounds, and baseball diamonds down the street. The community developer also built a community centre with a couple gyms, public space, etc.

When I owned a house I had a privacy fence around the backyard, so I didn't bother maintaining the backyard very well. One time a storm knocked the gate off two of its hinges which made it possible to see into my backyard from the street, and one of my neighbors reported me to the city lawn enforcement agency the next day.

You get a better idea of the scale and the ground from the photos - I thought the land was flat and the house was out in the country somewhere.

The slope gives you some possibilities and explains better the water feature in the original design. That block invites water flowing through.

Canadians like putting concentrated blocks of ugly suburbia out in the country. Kinda like Siberia.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

We have the same population density, more or less, than Kansas City.

Sorry, I didn't mean to insult Siberia by comparing it to Canada...

Yes, but we can keep horses on our properties without cramping them.

I get along great with them. The neighbour to my north shovels my sidewalk frequently and we talk games & cars. Neighbour to my south has two small kids who keep baking me treats and bringing them over.
