You're right. That should be lost.

Also, drunk teenager's to be specific.

Or maybe you prefer something else happen to drunk teenagers:

Two high school football players were convicted Sunday in an Ohio rape case that gained worldwide attention through, and then focused on, social media.

What if you aren't sure someone has a gun? What if it's a fake gun? What if they have a knife, is force proportionate? What if it's a really really big muscular 7-foot-tall guy with hands the size of boat anchors versus a 5' woman? Asking citizens to judge proportional force is ridiculous in a potentially life or death scenario.

Maybe it was after: "Oh yeah, Virginia gun laws "?

Perhaps it was the part where he dismissed the loss of life as "so what?"

              Underage drinking

Play with fire and get burned. He was drunk. He shouldn't have been drinking at all. He's not even 18, let alone 21. He made bad decisions while intoxicated. He's not getting any sympathy from me. Maybe a darwin award.

Same principle - if the driver was acting responsibly, no problem, if the driver was speeding or under the influence, big problem.

These are the responses we get when they don't have someone smarter to copy off of.

I agree, yeah, although of course drivers should endeavor to avoid hitting jaywalkers, just as this guy should endeavor to avoid shooting drunk teens--which he did with the verbal warning and afterwards warning shot.

I don't assume the neighbour was a bad guy - I would be devastated if I shot a neighbour's kid like that, probably couldn't stay in the area. Sometimes its no comfort being right, and according to law in some places in the U.S. you can defend yourself like that, cold comfort indeed.
