Oh, yeah, because every legal term, is just that, only a legal term.

Oh, so everyone who wants to protect minors from those who wish to exploit them is the Taliban? That clears it up nicely.

Whether it's bastardized into common usage is irrelevant. Akin talking about "legitimate" rape was a refence to criminal sexual assault, nothing more, nothing less, and your fellow Christian hypocrite butt buddy moralizer decided to glom onto the "legitimate rape" phrase for the same intended meaning. So piss off and find someone else to rub you in your "special place."

"Protect" minors, but cross a state line, and that 17 year old who is "incapable of consent" can now magically consent? Or if the 17 year old is married, she can magically have the capacity to consent, but not if she's unmarried, then it magically goes away? That's real consistent "protection" for you.

Aren't you the passive aggressive one today. Like, I said, that's the way you tell the story. Just because a term is used in a different way than it's legal definition doesn't make it a bastardization. But that's the way you tell the story.

You're quite the legalist aren't you. Just because something is legal, doesn't make it moral. People who think so don't really have any morals.

Ah, yes, the "we can make a word mean whatever we want. It's our own personal reality" line. So, Einstein, how else was BK or Akin using the word term? It's only one syllable, so it's hopefully not beyond your limited intellect.

Most so-called morality is subjective. Especially the "morality" that emanates from sexually repressed religious nutjobs. It's Sunday, why don't you get off your ass and go save some souls or something?

You're the one trying to make a word whatever you want it to mean, insisting that words can only be legal terms. That if they are in some legal dictionary they can't be used any other way, even if they, in fact, are used in different ways. That's why we have a regular dictionary that is different from a legal dictionary. But I don't expect that any of this will make sense to you.

Intellect has nothing to do with this. The intellect knows one thing. The will acts in another.

Who said morality isn't subjective? Do you also insist that nothing exists unless it is objectively known? It seems so. What foolishness.

Ah yes, I'm making the word mean something different by defining it as it is defined in the context in which it was used.

                            by Todd Akin:
"If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”

Hmmmm, female body involved there.... Gee, I wonder what the word rape could be referring to?

Apparently, fum duck, you're so unfamiliar with dictionaries that you can't tell the difference between a legal code and a dictionary.

Here's a dictionary version for you:

                            rape

1 [reyp] noun, verb, raped, rap·ing. noun
                            1. the unlawful compelling of a person through physical force or duress to have sexual intercourse.
                            2. any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person.
                            3. statutory rape.
                            4. an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside.
                            5. Archaic. the act of seizing and carrying off by force.

Gee, with a female body involved, I wonder which definition applies?

Intellect has nothing to do with this.

I agree that you and BK are utterly lacking in intellect. That's really never been in question with either of your from day one here.
