All I'm saying is that people who have such an avatar are most likely to call sex lines 2000 times, save for politicians maybe.

The "family values" bigots I speak of, are generally in favor of repressing and suppressing sexual freedom overall. They know that sex is fun, but gosh, they also think it's a sign of our country's moral "degeneration" with the attitude of, "if it feels good, do it."

You're either being grossly facetious, or you're being particularly naive in this discussion. And since when does speaking out against bigotry (such as what I do), make one bigoted?

Is it bigoted for people to speak out against the Ku Klux Klan for an example?
The Christian Right isn't the only one's who use the term family values anymore. Everyone talks about it now, and it means different things to different people.

Yes. Which is why when there are an infinite set of interpretations regarding the term it is nearly impossible to claim that the person was inconsistent or hypocritical to them.

I have a good idea of what the Nebraska lt. governor means by "family values" - sexual suppression and repression. Hence, his hypocrisy.

              Hmm... that's an interesting judgment.

If we're going to do that, I'll state that people with avatars like yours are more likely to support institutions that enable the systematic rape of children and bomb abortion clinics.

No you really don't. You are anything but an impartial interpreter. Hence my skepticism.

Do you live in a parallel universe where the GOP isn't trying to make the institutional discrimination of LGBT folks the law of the land?

The treatment of LGBT has little to do with Fun's assertion that family values = "non-reproductive sex is bad, okay?". Moreover how private masturbatory fantasies would conflict with it.

So you believe GOP policies do, in fact, treat LGBT folks equally under the law?

I've been on record that I oppose the GOP LGBT stance and vote libertarian for just such a reason. However that really isn't germane to the discussion about whether the person involved was hypocritical because he held a position that was intended to portray the view of "sex is bad m'kay".

Then you're oblivious to the broader, twisted world perspective that comes with the bigoted, "family values" nutjobs have regarding sex in general.

Honestly, I find Ogie to be probably the most depressingly hate-filled poster on this forum. I've never seen anyone so knee-jerk hostile, and there a few other contenders here.

                                Pretty much.

BTW the term "family values" very much is used by Republicans as a code word for "Christian values" and it has been for decades. Ogie is full of crap trying to deny it. Next thing you know he's going to deny Republicans attack women's rights, don't endlessly play the race card in an attempt to fan white fears, and aren't anti-science. I mean if he wants to spend his time arguing the sky isn't blue that's cool but most people will just laugh at him and instantly recognize what sort of game he is playing.
