I'd love to see someone try to go on a rampage with a .50 cal. The ammo alone is too heavy to carry around, let alone the gun.

.50 cals are heavy. You can't fire them standing. They weigh like 40 pounds (the rifles, not the machine guns). The stocks are designed for them to be fired from the prone position. I couldn't properly shoulder an M240 and it's half that weight. No .50 cal rifle that I know of has a magazine capacity greater than 10 rounds. They're not really designed to shoot people, except perhaps from really far off.

As for mounting them on vehicles a) I think someone would notice you en route to your destination and b) you can't get automatic .50 cals so that wouldn't be very useful.

My dad spent a little over a decade in and out of the hospital. But then again, maybe my local hospital isn't a healthy person hospital.

Okay. 1) I don't have Danners, just the issued boots. Consensus here seems to be that the Rocky boots are better although I don't have those either. 2) I've never actually worn my cammies off campus (except driving to and from my apartment). I don't usually get weird looks although some fat guy in a fedora and minecraft T-shirt saluted me today.

Not sure why you're being so sensitive about all of this though. To be honest I only mentioned the machine gun thing to troll people and then brought it up again because with Sava's posts it became vaguely relevant.

The problem was more in the fact that the stock was too long. Lifting it wasn't an issue; the issue was that my grip was by necessity too far to the rear and so it was front heavy.

Switzerland is in the middle of Europe, and has been consistently democratic for nearly 200 years. They're on their third Constitution, but they've never had an Emperor, King, or Fascist dictator like France has had. They also have an armed citizenry.

To avoid further multiquote silliness, I'll just summarize the pro-gun argument and you guys can tell me if I've ****ed up somewhere.

We cannot have any restrictions on firearms whatsoever for the following reasons:

Bad things happen so we shouldn't ever try to stop a bad thing.

We need to fight our government (not my opinion, just the argument)

High capacity magazines don't make a difference but we still need them.... because
