I finished it because I actually liked the game. I don't think it sucked. Also I never really used the fire weapons so the fire spreading thing didn't factor. And guns didn't jam if you always used new ones, which I did.

No other game as far as I know has had realistic fire. On dry savanna, it would spread rapidly, go up trees, etc. but would scarcely light on damp foliage after a rainstorm. The spreading alone of the fire is probably unknown in any other game where fire is usually a static decoration. I don't even think the fire in Skyrim would spread."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I was always really bad at using fire because I tended to have it spread in my direction. The reason I beat FC2 is because I'm willing to go through any shooter which actually lets me move around instead of sticking me in a tunnel. Most tactical depth is completely eliminated in games like CoD and Battlefield because there's no width to the environment. You must follow a tightly controlled path through the level. This is also true (although to a lesser extent) in games like the Halo series and even Half Life 2. So while FC2 missions were samey you could approach them any way you wanted.

I used explosives all the time. What I mean is I didn't use the flamethrower much/ever, and I didn't use the flare pistol a lot either. I did use molotovs. They weren't a huge part of my repertoire.
I had two main tactics: stealth and distance. Generally I would try to engage as few enemies as possible, especially at the same time. On the faction missions where I had to blow up stuff belonging to the other faction I liked using the mortar. I got pretty good at landing dead on with it, then getting away.

It is going to have a Mod Configuration Menu like New Vegas, which will be helpful."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

If you can ignore all the BOOBIE mods, there are absolutely essential things on the Nexus. For Skyrim, SkyUI, Skyrim Redone (SkyRe), and Frostfall are just amazing. For New Vegas, you need NVEC, Project Nevada, FOOK, EVE, and WMX or WME."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

There's some really cool things about it like the way fire spreads, weather effects, weather effects that actually matter, guns jamming, the cool animation when you heal yourself, the malaria situation, etc. but the game was broken with the respawning enemy camps, the illusion of an open world when it was nothing but valleys, the repetitive missions, and the long travel distance between mission points made worse by the enemy camps.
It was a game with potential that was flawed.
That's why I can't believe regexcellent actually finished the entire game. I got to the second map and quit.

Anyway the key to looting sharks is to sit on the shore near where they spawn and kill them in shallow water with a shotgun so their friends can't gnaw your ass off while you cut them up underwater.
The game does feel like a gritty reboot of Just Cause 2, but at least it doesn't have endlessly respawning soldiers.Graffiti in a public toilet

I went to that little island to the southwest of the doctor's mansion, with the fast travel/safe house place. I stood by the shore or on a pier or something and used the hunting syringe thing that lets you see the animals easier, then just waited for a shark to swim by. Shotgun meat.
