The GOP does by and large represent the views of American conservative voters. What are you getting at? How does that contradict what I said? Unless you have some fantasy notion of conservatives being thugs in KKK hoods or something.

And don't tell me the GOP is not interested in creating a Christian-dominated government.

No, it's not. It could be implemented by a governmental theocracy. It is not itself a governmental type.

Remember, folks. Asher doesn't want to hear anything about the GOP not actually being the Spanish Inquisition. Won't hear a word of it. As long as they oppose gay marriage, they may as well be theocrats.

You are willfully ignorant, then. Because I know you're not stupid.

Hypothetical: Democrat tables a bill to remove "under God" from your currency.

          How does the GOP vote?

Yep, opposition to gay marriage is certainly the only thing overly strongly Christian about the GOP's policies.

Do you not know their policies or are you stupid?

Back on point, unlike the GOP, Islamists seek a theocratic and fascist form of government, which is a totally reasonable thing to oppose and so Zevico opposes it.

Oh boohoo, the GOP wants to keep "under god" on the penny. Looks like we'll be living under the thumb of a christian theocracy till the end of time. I pay for food every day, see that Under God, and it reminds me just how oppressed I am as an American atheist.

Asher, you technically live in a ****ing MONARCHY. These are little quibbles of no concern to anyone but a dumbass.

I know literally zero people who give a **** about "under god" or any of that stuff. If it bothers you, then you're retarded and should just grow up.

You can make excuses for that as long as you want. Any idiot can tell you the US government as it is now is a Christian government. Their policies are overtly Christian. If the GOP has any say in it, they will make them MORE Christian.

                    Don't even bother denying it.

Says the man who lives in an openly Christian monarchy to the person who lives in a secular democracy.

It was a simple example of how pervasive Christianity is in American government.

You're blinded by the obviousness of it, it seems. Are you now changing your argument from "yeah, it is Christian but who cares? You are retarded if you do! Shut up!"?

I'm not a monarchist, so there's nothing contradictory about what I am saying.

PS: Christian monarchy? You really are stupid. In all practical purposes, Religion has VERY little impact on the Canadian government. The religion of our elected officials is a non-issue, for example.

Asher's reasoning for the GOP being theocratic is because it doesn't want to change some words nobody cares about on the currency. The Democrats don't want to either, but that's irrelevant, right?

Seriously that is about the most trivial issue one could possibly come up with. Maybe even more trivial than what the ****ing national flower is.

Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926[note 1]) is the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states (known as the Commonwealth realms) and their territories and dependencies, as well as head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations. She is Supreme Governor of the Church of England and, in some of her realms, carries the title of Defender of the Faith as part of her full title.
