And I stand by that. You'd have to be Jesus to do it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to hit a target moving at 300 ****ing miles per hour? Moving across your field of vision and toward/away from you, from a mile, with a puny rifle, AND that target is only a few meters wide? And you have to hit multiple such targets in tops 15 seconds?
Nobody can do that, that's superhuman. And if you can do that with a .50 cal, you can do that with a .338 which is better at LR anyway.
It's about as likely as a monkey at a typewriter banging out Shakespeare. Not impossible, but very very unlikely.
I seem to think? How about you read what I write, instead of imagining your own strawman bull****? Anything can happen. President Obama could swing by my house tonight with a kilo of weed. But I don't think that's likely to happen.
Dude, in all fairness, I have no clue what you are trying to argue. You went off some paranoid tangent about the Constitution earlier.
Well, DD hasn't posted in a while. Maybe he wised up. Not likely, but possible.
I realized that your arguments are so stupid that they can't be made with serious intent. So I've opted for enjoying the comedy of stupidity you're providing.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

I'm glad you at least get something from such discussions.
A .50 caliber round fired from outside could quite conceivably cause two massive holes... and bring down the plane.
And that's assuming the round strikes the main structure and not a wing (filled with fuel).
You're still standing by this retardation? Two "massive" half inch holes in a fuselage are enough to bring down an airliner? If so, then you're blind to all evidence and not worth talking to.
Well, yeah... I'm going to stand by the facts and conclusions of industry researchers and law enforcement.
Who have all said that it is theoretically possible but extremely unlikely. You conveniently ignored the practicality of the idea and latched onto the mere possibility.
Are you being serious or purposefully stupid? I can't tell.
I'm quoting you in describing half inch holes as "massive." Which they might be in relation to a smartphone or a person's foot, but it's a bit of a stretch when applied to an airliner. Also, there have been a great many planes with holes bigger than a half inch that have successfully and safely landed, so yeah, do you stand by your retardation?
When a plane loses pressure, the result is a noisy, terrifying scene in which passengers can be, and have been, sucked out of a plane. After a 5-ft.
Such large holes can happen as a result of stress fractures in the skin.
The attack could happen on takeoff and not be noticed until a plane as at altitude.
Idiot. If it happened at takeoff, you'd never get explosive decompression because it would never be able to develop a pressure gradient. Nevermind the fact that the pressure difference at altitude still isn't enough to cause a problem.
If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers? ){ :|:& };:
I love the jet fuel explosion theory. There probably isn't even enough kinetic energy in a .50 caliber bullet to ignite jet fuel.
Seriously, though, planes are actually hard to shoot down, and even if you do shoot them down, they aren't likely to just start tumbling out of the sky. You can take out both engines of a 737 and depending on the altitude and airspeed there's a decent chance that everyone will survive.
