Sloww has been arguing 5 inches is more than sufficient for many years now.

That's right, Asher is taken too. Has BK no respect for the sanctity of relationships?

So speaking of love affairs, in August I was rear ended - the car bumper was damaged as was one of the back side panels. While my '09 G6 was repaired, I had a loaner, a '13 VW Passat. The sedan was nice, but after a few days I missed my sportier car. When I got my car back, it was repainted and looked like new - it was in excellent condition before the accident. Today, while stopped at a red light, the driver in the truck beside me said, "Nice car." This made me feel really good. And it is a nice, sporty car.
So, how long does the lovin' last?
My '99 red GrandAm kept me happy, almost to the end. How about the rest of you?

My 98 Dodge Dakota is still going strong. Regular cab 318 V8 4x2 with a limited slip rear gear and steel tonneau. I tell people it's not a truck, it's a sports car with a really big trunk.

I can still shut out idiot light jumpers.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I drove a G6 as a rental car years ago (maybe 2007?). Was surprised to find I enjoyed driving it, as I dislike American cars almost universally. Liked it almost as much as the luxury Accord (with leather seats, big engine, etc.) I drove the time before (random 'we are out of cheap cars' upgrade).

I said the Passat was a sedan, not the G6.

I probably wouldn't have even noticed the dent, had it been Asher.
