On the bright side, I just saw ground beef on sale at Safeway a really, really cheap price... then I bought some ham instead...

I was talking about the average retail price.

I'm in no particular hurry to craptastize our cheese production.

I bet if I gave you two hunks of cheese of identical type, one made in Canada and one made in the United States, you wouldn't be able to tell which was which reliably without being told beforehand.

Non tastable doesn't mean it's not harmful.

If the cheese was sold to him as a specific bargain then he would have bought it for LESS then retail ergo the mark up would have been even HIGHER.

It's like transubstantiation. American cheese might have all the same physical qualities as Canadian cheese, but Canadian cheese is sacred and American cheese is junk.

That's what I said. The only way this could work is if the mark up was even HIGHER because we know the end sale price in Canada was $365,000. That means the end mark up of 82.5% was a MINIMUM mark up. It could go higher but it cannot go lower.

He's saying the guy bought the cheese wholesale in America, and didn't pay retail prices. The guy bought a lot of cheese, after all.

The article said he spent $200,000 on cheese which seems to definitively nail down how much he spent on the cheese.
