On the bright side, I just saw ground beef on sale at Safeway a really, really cheap price... then I bought some ham instead...

I was talking about the average retail price.Originally posted by Dinner View PostHe bought $200,000 worth of cheese in the US and could sell it for $365,000. 165/200 = 82.5% price difference. So, no, it isn't a 30% prices difference, it is an 82.5% price difference and you guys are getting ****ed in the ass.

If the cheese was sold to him as a specific bargain then he would have bought it for LESS then retail ergo the mark up would have been even HIGHER.Originally posted by Oncle Boris View PostI was talking about the average retail price.

That's what I said. The only way this could work is if the mark up was even HIGHER because we know the end sale price in Canada was $365,000. That means the end mark up of 82.5% was a MINIMUM mark up. It could go higher but it cannot go lower.Originally posted by Oncle Boris View PostHow do you know it's not what they did already?Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

He's saying the guy bought the cheese wholesale in America, and didn't pay retail prices. The guy bought a lot of cheese, after all.Originally posted by Dinner View PostThat's what I said. The article said he spent $200,000 on cheese which seems to definitively nail down how much he spent on the cheese.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
