Zevico, you ****ing idiot, Blacks are 12% of the US population and that proportion is DECREASING! Blacks will never be able to inflict genocide on anybody!

If anything, a powerful NoI, which would never ever ever happen, would only lead to an oppressive reaction by whites against Blacks.

I'm not talking about just anyone religious and right wing Kid, I'm specifically talking about the group that are pushing a religious/political agenda and who use otherness as a weapon.

Like what? Being against gay marriage and teaching the Bible in schools? And you think that's potentially how the Nazi's came to power? Come on.

              I would use "stupid".

              That being said...
Cities lack the authority to ban them from their jurisdiction for that reason. Unless you believe Conservative cities have the authority to ban companies run by liberals from setting up shop there solely because of politics.
I have no interest in banning them. They could start a business in Canada next week. They would have more protesters than customers but they could do it. Their brand of hate would not go over as well here as it does in the fundie US south.

Chicago politicians were and presumably still are interested in doing so.

                  I'm not a Chicago politician.

You were responding to me, not them.

The topic of the thread is their conflict with a Chicago alderman over their ability to legally set up shop in Chicago.

Then don't respond to me when you are really railing against what they are saying/doing.

My argument was about the stupidity of staking out a controversial social position when you want to expand a business beyond the confines of where such an opinion is acceptable. I never took the position they should be banned (it wouldn't even be necessary here quite frankly) and your response to me implied I did. It was a strawman.

Now go sort out the Benghazi issue in the other thread.

edit - I see you are on it. Thanks.

That makes it all better. Thank goodness. Here I was thinking the Democrats were openly working with racial supremacists. Here I was thinking that made them a collection of idiots without any understanding of history. But now you tell me people who identify as black are on the decrease, so it follows that black supremacists can never commit genocide. Well, I guess that means no more race based violence? I mean other than arson, assault, murder and riots, what could possibly go wrong?

The LA riots, the NY riots, the arson of stores, how did these happen if not because of these kinds of ideologies? Or the "justice for Travyon" beatings and robberies, how did they happen without groups like the NOI? They were no more about one man then the protests overseas were about one video.

You're a dumbass. Would you like to bet on this? Do you really think the Nation of Islam is taking over?

What makes you think people need an "ideology" to riot?

We've trodden this ground before. These are direct examples of people justifying and committing acts of race-based violence. Race-based violence is violence in the name of an ideology/belief--the ideology that race exists, other than as a factor that affects physical makeup and appearance. It's a small step from saying "this is what you're entitled to as a race" to "go out and take what you're entitled to by force." This is the ideology being promoted by the Nation of Islam.

I knew it. Some people who are crying about free speech think it's ok to tell lies about others resulting in violence against those people.
