  • Horse, you're spouting platitudes. The old "if you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns" isn't without a base in reality.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

    • Dip**** foreigners, and MrFun, would rather be alive than free. They just don't understand America.

      • I'd rather be alive than have the freedom to own a gun, but luckily I can have both.

Can't remember anyone saying that police shouldn't have weapons, so your claim is pure BS.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

The stats simply don't support you Sloww, countries with gun control have much lower civilian death rates.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

So what? Is living the only thing that matters to you?

Quite right - being a danger to other people are way more satisfying

True, and I agree. Though, that hasn't anything to do with weapons.

                        • Last week a barowner here in Copenhagen had a visit from some local gang members that demanded protection money. She "politely" suggested that he should get the hell out of her shop and forget all about such. Further she contacted other local shops and newspapers. Result - that gang is the redicule of the city and won't get away with their intent.

All of that done without guns

I still don't understand how gun ownership equates being free in today's world.

Yes, there are many things that matter to me, in addition to being alive and living life, like being free. But I don't need to own a gun in order to be free.

                            • It helps, if the guy wanting to make you not free has one.

                              • australia is much freer than the US, the real land of the free, I'm convinced of that, we don't live in fear of our government or nuts with guns and we have a much higher standard of living and better lifestyle, plus a continent to ourselves and dollar that kicks ass

but I respect your right to believe otherwise
