        • The juice and the juicer sharing a cell would be funny, but nothing to charge ol' Lance with, especially in Nevada.

Anyway, my personal attitude on this is that they shoulda just let him keep his medals. So what if he cheated? Every ****ing dude in that tourney cheated, he cheated better than the rest of them.

Indurain was a dominant rider in the '90s, Spanish, and a client of doping doctor Francesco Conconi (who's widely credited with introducing EPO use to professional cycling). You'd have to be naive or delusional to believe he wasn't doping.

Merckx is no better than Lance, btw. He was caught using stimulants, and most likely used steroids given the era he raced in. He's also the one who introduced Lance to doping doctor Michele Ferrari (a Conconi disciple).

              • Please note that I left out Indurain's positive test for a banned substance (salbutamol) in '94 because I don't want to have to deal with some moron telling me that he really did need it for his "asthma".

                • A blatant positive test is more likely to be at least somewhat semi-legit. It's not like anyone didn't know it would be detected and no effort to mask it, although the excuse is funny. Since Lance's samples were restested and showed EPO use, one would think the same was done with Indurain's.

                  • Why would Indurain's samples be retested? He's not a huge ******* like Armstrong, and therefore doesn't have a target on his back.

Based on results, Merckx owned Lance. Steroids are more likely to be detrimental to road cycling than helpful, with the exception of sprint and kilo riders.

Singin' a different tune now, than when Lance was pure as the driven snow and the great white hope.

There's something to that. Indurain got nailed by the French for using salbutamol in a French race, after all.

What makes you think I would give a **** about the "great white hope"? Get a brother on a bike and maybe I'll pay attention.
