Solar/wind is our equivalent as we have closed/reduced coal plants over the last few years. Were our manufacturing to pick up again the coal plants would need to be restarted else we wouldn't have enough power. Are the reduced emissions because we have switched to solar or because of the closed plants?

If you want to believe a switch to a cleaner fuel is the cause of your lower emissions rather than a reduction in fuel consumption I guess that's up to you.

I care about very few things at Poly these days to spend more than a couple lines on it.

Since you have more enthusiasm for this than me....

See if you can find some power consumption numbers for the same time period.

I'm not so hard on HC. He's a good boy.

I too was pretty ideologically rigid when I was a student and knew everything.

I have no actual opinion on fracking. That is science and technology stuff.

I'm not certain, but I believe the Freedom of Information Act would effectively give competitors access to that same information.

If its safe then it should be fine to be open and transparent about it, and have a real discussion that doesn't come down to ****ing politics.
                This.

There are potentially some major issues with fracking. It's worth looking into and not mocking those who want to be sure.

There's nutjobs on both sides - the ones who want to stop it all right now, and the ones who insist there's no detriment without any clue how it works or what it could be doing.

Err...Alberta is a huge source of natural gas (we provide it for much of the western US), and we do use fracking.

The energy industry is not your forte. Maybe you should stop trying to comment on it.

Considering Kuci conceded (and by transitivity, so did you), it was not I who was butthurt.

                            Umm...

As for water quality, the greater Philadelphia area got hit with Sperling’s worst rating
Since it's Philly I'm pretty sure Democrats are to blame

Democrats are the reason you can't get laid.

I haven't approached a Republican woman yet so... yes. This is plausible.
