Unfortunately Al is screwing up his life because of it.

I'm not sure Wilmington is that much better. I mean, parts of Wilmington are pretty dumpy. It's got a pretty nasty murder rate; higher than Philadelphia's, in fact. The whole Philly-Camden-Wilmington area is kind of crappy.

Should have said this first: congratulations on the job

I really do hope you get into the reserve branch of your choice. With your current level of pay and such being a reserve officer would make a difference in your fiscal situation. But I think you should really consider just becoming an infantry officer in your state national guard. And if you can't become an officer, just enlist; you should be able to join as an E-4.

I think he's 27. 28 is the cutoff for the Marines. 35 is the cutoff for the Army National Guard.

There's age waivers. But considering how competitive it is now, any waiver on your package will do you no favors. Means you have to be even more competitive.

I'm going to do some community service with the food bank and get in contact with politicians about a recommendation. Sucks being a Republican in a Democratic city, though. The offices of Sen. Toomey and Gov. Corbett may be my only options.

Or will Democrats not be *******s?

I know congressional nominations for service academies are a whole official thing; wonder how this will work being that I'm long out of college.
