Honestly, I couldn't give a damn either way. Judaism doesn't have a strictly political aspect to it so any such observation on American politics is a byproduct of American and European history.

Lebanon has a religious-based system (Confessionalism) and it's not a theocracy.

Lebanon is less a nation than a string of ethnic communities engaged in an oft-broken cease fire. has so many ethnic conflicts it should get a big sign saying: "STABILITY IS IMPORTANT TO US. IT HAS BEEN X DAYS SINCE OUR LAST VIOLENT PISS UP."

Which is why it has a Confessional system to mitigate religious conflict.

And let's not ignore Israel and Syria's involvement in Lebanese instability.

Israel's involvement? Yes, let's blame Israel for Hezbollah. Makes sense.
Syria is absolutely to blame, however.

              Are you really this ignorant?

Lebanese Civil War, the IDF invades Lebanon. Israel funds a Maronite paramilitary group, the South Lebanon Army, as well as the Lebanese Forces and the Lebanese Front.

Israeli meddling during the Lebanese Civil War was PERVASIVE. They funded and equipped an entire side of the war and even invaded with the IDF.

That gets laughing from you? How is actually INVADING a country AND funding/equipping proxy paramilitary units not involvement?

You know it's bad when the US intervenes with troops (and not on the side of Israel!) and Ronald Reagan had to appeal to Begin to end the siege of Beirut. When the US goes against Israel's interests, Israel must be really pushing it.

And don't make me dig up Commandant Barrow's letter to the Secretary of Defense about systematic harassment of US military personnel by the IDF during the Lebanese Civil War.

Kamal al-Halbavi, a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, expressed gratitude to Iranian leader Ayatollah Khamenei for his support of the revolution. Al-Halvavi said he hoped that Egypt would have a “a good government, like the Iranian government, and a good president like Mr. Ahmadinejad, who is very brave.”

Quoting the MB's support for the very position you decry: priceless.
A political leader saying nice things about a neighbour does not equal the entire population of Egypt wanting to live under an Iranian style theocracy you gigantic tool.

Nice things about a neighbour? You're seriously reducing this to polite banter? Cupcake, Iran and Egypt haven't had "polite" diplomatic relations, or any diplomatic relations for that matter, for decades. Not since the Iranian Revolution. This bloke is signalling an Egypt-Iran alliance (of sorts) and the creation of an Egyptian style 'democracy' modelled on Iran's, not to mention (via other spokespersons) the resumption of the Egypt-Israel proxy war. Incidentally, the IDF claims the MB has already organised terror attacks. The proxy war's begun. 40% of Egypt wants that. Another 25% wants something more approaching Saudia Arabia, complete with covering the idolatrous pyramids in wax. This is wilful blindness 101.

Have I mentioned how Asher called the Muslim Brotherhood a fringe group akin to Fred Phelps Westboro church? Adorable. Bloke deserves a cupcake.

Yes, I'm sure this fits perfectly into your chickenhawk wet dream fantasy where all the arabs are nasty terrorists who live and breathe for jihad and to give their lives for Allah.

The Egyptians have just spent decades living under a rather unpleasant dictator, who lets not forget was funded by America. They've also spent more than half a century with their leaders using Israel as a scapegoat for all their wrongs. No, they aren't suddenly going to go out and hug a Jew, but they're also not looking to start their freedom by initiating a new wave of terrorism and war. They still have enormous problems to sort out, and if the conservatives right consisted of anything other than hatemongering little ****s, they'd be supporting them in that endeavour and trying to make amends for decades of supporting repression. But hey, it's much easier to try and scaremonger about those horrid arabs isn't it.

Here's an idea, put down the Tom Clancy novel and get some fresh air.

Oh and because I'm a curious sort, I thought I'd check and see what news sites were running your 'Pyramids in wax' story. Let's see..

                        Daily Mail
                        Weekly World News
                        Christian Post
                        Illuminati Watcher

You're swiftly becoming a parody character now.

The ancient Egyptian relics are in no danger. They are a source of national pride for Egyptians, a pride that scarcely has a comparable in any other nation.

I think Zevico doesn't know a single Egyptian national. He wouldn't make stupid comments like that if he did.
