Where did you do your "winter" training and what month was it?

Sorry Alby. People adapt to the where they live. It doesn't take thousands of years.
Note a past Chicago Marathon run in the heat.
The winner and seemingly not bothered by the heat.
Kenya's Patrick Ivuti won, leaning at the finish line to edge Jaouad Gharib of Morocco by 0.05 seconds. Ethiopia's Berhane Adere rallied to successfully defend her women's title.
Those raised in Chicago, had problems.
One runner died, at least 49 were hospitalized and thousands were denied the chance to cross the finish line in the race long known for its brisk fall temperatures and flat terrain.
Yes, yes, not exactly scientific, but it doesn't take science to figure out that someone raised in say Alaska would have more problems dealing with the heat than someone raised in Kenya.

Lithuania's climate, which ranges between maritime and continental, is relatively mild. Average temperatures on the coast are −2.5 °C in January and 16 °C (61 °F) in July. In Vilnius the average temperatures are −6 °C (21 °F) in January and 16 °C (61 °F) in July. During the summer, 20 °C (68 °F) is common during the day while 14 °C (57 °F) is common at night; in the past, temperatures have reached as high as 30 °C (86 °F) or 35 °C (95 °F). Some winters can be very cold. −20 °C (−4 °F) occurs almost every winter. Winter extremes are −34 °C (−29 °F) in coastal areas and −43 °C (−45 °F) in the east of Lithuania.
But even still, I ask why be weak if you don't have to be?
        It's not weak, it's comfortable.

It may seem like a luxury to you, but the cost of installing a high-end AC unit was trivial. My bonus last month paid for that and much more. I didn't even need to budget for it.

Some people don't live in poverty and need to make excuses for being uncomfortable.

We'll be in the high 90's this week in Philly which is typical. I honestly have no need or desire for A/C. I even go running in the heat.

I think people really are pussies. Sorry, but unless you're elderly, I don't see how you can't handle 90-100F and need an A/C.

You also need to be careful that when you can't one type of dengue, the second infection can much worse if it is a different strain. I believe that it's 2 and 4 that are required to be secondary for dengue hemorrhagic fever.

I'm okay in 85-90 degree weather, but make it much hotter and I'll be very unhappy to be outside. Also, I find it difficult to sleep if it's too hot in my room. It's gonna start pushing into the triple digits soon here in Fairfax . I'm okay with cold weather, but I can't stand the cold weather + wind + drizzle you get in Pittsburgh.

Only on Apolyton do people deny that Homo Sapiens Sapiens is a tropical animal. I guess people doubt the African origin of our species. Whatever.

And rah... A Kenyan, a Moroccan, and an Ethiopian dominated the Chicago marathon. You know they would have still dominated no matter what the temperature was? East and North Africans dominate long-distance running period.

Why can't people be sensible and live in a country that's not too hot and not too cold either...?

Or live in a property that doesn't need A/C by virtue of the fact that it's cool in the summer and well insulated in the winter?

Anyway, I'm fairly adaptable and am equally at home in the heat or the cold - probably because I don't live in an extreme climate in the first place...

Way to generalize. If I'm evolved for the tropics why is my skin so pale? If I lived outside naked in Ethiopia I'd probably get skin cancer. You are an idiot.

Sorry, after 40,000 years outside the tropics you are not adapted to living in the tropics. How do you explain the fact the Europeans mostly settled in areas with temperate climates when Europeans controlled the whole world and could settle wherever they pleased? They found surviving easier in temperate climates where they couldn't catch malaria. You are an idiot. Stop generalizing about the entire human species.

I can handle the heat of the summer just fine. That doesn't make me a "tropical animal", ******.
