Sava, they could never get near the island. And anyone trying to take over would have to contend with the garrison. Are you suggesting that the Argies could land a sufficient fighting force from mini subs to overthrow five hundred Royal Marines?

    They cost over $1 million.

I'm surprised to learn that Argentine government accountants are so skilled considering the ineptitude of the military.

Sometimes it's the lack of sources that is telling rather than the reliability of counter sources. As I said, if you have any source to support this then I'd really like to see it.

You've forgotten that we're talking about a defensive war here right?

If there's one thing that would absolutely guarantee a conservative landslide it would be another Falklands war.

For ****'s sake people... Mexican drug cartels can build rinky dink submersibles that can evade US Navy detection. I'm pretty sure even the Argentine military has a few guys who know how to use a welder. It's a 400 lb payload. We have people that weigh more than that.
That's the key..."EVADE". Let's see what happens to a Mexican Drug Cartel sub that tries to "ATTACK" a U.S. Navy Ship on the High Seas.

There's this little pond called the Gulf of Mexico.

I would wager that they have better discipline (through threats and extortion) as well as funding.

Without looking on wikipedia, I'm pretty sure there are vehicles the size of small trucks on the Falkland islands already. There's your weapons platform. The warhead on the Exocet is less than 400 pounds. I'm pretty sure you can tuck one in the corner of some freighter.

The other components can be disassembled and packaged separately.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do this.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be a wiseass Sava, I just honestly don't understand what you're trying to say. If they can't land in the first place then how are they supposed to do damage to us?
