Which is why, unless they are forcing the Church to marry homosexuals or impose other requirements on the Church directly (I know there are plenty out there), the Church shouldn't really have any direct opinion on legal issues like gay marriage.

They think the abortions performed over the last forty years are a mega-holocaust, yet the most they do about it is stand outside of abortion clinics holding signs, vote for political candidates who say they don't like it (but have done basically nothing to stop it) and make arguments on the internet.
