bikers are better car drivers. same goes for truck drivers. we-they understand others´ road circumstances better.

people who are used to going from A to B in a padded cage with airbags and crumple zones feel a little too invincible.

mind you, my car accidents were all minor. bump in the bumper, that kind of stuff. and i hit the plastic bumper of a Porsche once while parking in London. expensive.

You said you'd been in two accidents. I've never so much as touched a motorcycle and I've also never been in a car accident.

3 in the last few years. I just found it odd you're claiming your group is a better driver of cars, yet admittedly you aren't that good at not hitting things with your car.

Life is dangerous and will kill you no matter what. Yeah, a bike is a bit more dangerous than a car, but if it's fun to drive it, go for it. If it's just as boring as driving a car, don't - not worth the risk.

I don't think you North American lot appreciate what driving (and especially parking) means in Europe. Have you ever parked a car with 10 cm to spare on the front and the back?

When I rented a car this last weekend, I got a Corolla.

I always thought they were boring cars for their cost and was never interested in them.

The car I rented was nice though, felt very comfortable. The best 'car I have never driven before' experience I have ever had (especially after not driving for 1 year).

I thought it might be too big too, but it was just right.

For North America. For Europe I would want something smaller, not a compact (c-segment) but a subcompact (b-segment or a-segment). Specifically because of parking/size of streets.

I would even consider a Smart Car (which I think is ugly and boring).

In some places... mostly concrete, gravel, or dirt/mud roads though.

I'm European. You clearly drive like a spastic.

Seriously. If Europe is a country where getting in car accidents is expected and workers are too lazy to keep their jobs, then I'm ****ing glad I live in America.
