How is making sure more people get the chance to speak their mind the same as censorship? Given that there are a limited number of stations in the spectrum and that the entire spectrum is owned by the public... Why shouldn't there be some reasonable regulations to insure as many people get the opportunity to speak their mind as possible? That seems like it would increase the opportunities for free speech not decrease it.
It's a good sight better than the "equal time" doctrine, which kept stations form airing anything controversial for fear that they would have to give time to every boring crackpot with a placard.
