How about if you work for a huge national chain and they hire a new chairman who is a Jehovas Witness? You're fine with him suddenly deciding that the company should no long cover blood transfusions because it offends his religious beliefs? How about a scientologist who is offended by pain medication? The idea that someone being your work boss should give them the power to hand pick which medical treatment you can and cannot be covered for is ****ing stupid, especially when for so many people that is their only route to healthcare.

Contraceptives aren't used in an emergency to save lives, and they are not used to ease the suffering of those in pain. They are used for recreational sex. Comparing those makes no sense, and it does absolutely nothing to convince me that I'm wrong.

If a doctor diagnoses a girl with PCOS and recommends a contraceptive pill as treatment, that's treating a disorder. I don't have a problem with requiring that to be covered. Medical coverage should exist to help us fix and prevent problems, not to subsidize our sex lives.
