Sounds like a good sandwich, but I like mine with pepperjack, dried tomatoes and paprika.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Sun dried tomatoes are a gift from god. Simple yet delicious and they go with so many things.

Yeah, but I'd feel like a douche doing it.

Frigging Texans. Anything other than white bread with Kraft singles is scary to you folks.

White bread with Kraft singles is actually quite edible, and I'm not Texan.

It's wonderful. sweet, moist, chewy, with whole grains baked in that add a pleasing texture to the whole. Since the different grains are unevenly dispersed, every bite is tasty but different form the next. 7 grain and 12 grain breads are favorites.

You both have a distorted definition of gourmet.

Here's a recipe for the ideal grilled cheese sandwich:
                              Bread
                              Butter
                              Cheese
Between 1/3 and 1/2 lb meat

I've been told by some people that the addition of 1/3 to 1/2 lb of meat makes this something other than a "grilled cheese" sandwich, but these people are wrong - it's grilled, it's got cheese on it, and it's a sandwich, hence it's a grilled cheese sandwich

Whole grains, ugh. This sounds terrible, even worse than untoasted regular American bread.
