  • Jesus Christ, NO ONE should do it, period.

It is perfectly okay to call Michelle Malkin a stupid, vicious *******; it is NOT okay to call her a coconut or a ****.

    THIS ISN'T ****ING HARD.

      I'm not excusing Limbaugh.

You shouldn't be trying to excuse those who attack Malkin's ethnicity and gender. It is inexcusable and those who have done so are just as wrong as Limbaugh was.

When did I excuse it? I said I don't have a great deal of sympathy for her however, as she has launched a fair few racially motivated attacks of her own in the past.

You are saying she has no basis to complain about such attacks, effectively excusing the attackers.

Based on the posts thus far it seems as if it is for some people.

Which in turn effectively excuses her attacks. Don't want nothing, don't start nothing.

No. Your logic is horrible as you are equating gender/ethnicity to ideas/statements.

The first is not assailable. The second is fair play.

No, I'm not. Because that it exactly what is happening here. Malcolm is attacked because she publicly attacked others with sexist/racist remarks. I'm not saying those others are responding appropriately, but she is not a victim here. Her attacks should not be ignored at any point in favor of criticizing the response against them.

Malkin is a victim of those sort of attacks, because it is always wrong to attack someone based on their gender or ethnicity. It is never deserved. Malkin isn't wrong to be a woman. Malkin isn't wrong because of her Filipino ancestry. To attack either of those things is to be misogynist or racist, and that is true regardless of what Malkin says or does.

                    • Take your argument to the next level and you lose your right to self-defense.

But what's really a shame is that you ignore her victims to defend her.

No one here seems to be ignoring or excusing her attacks. You're just throwing up strawmen.

It is always wrong to attack someone based on gender or ethnicity. This is true whether the attacker is Rush or Malkin or those who attack them back.

                        • It'll be a cold day in hell before I start feeling particularly sorry for a woman who defended internment camps for the Japanese and racial profiling for arabs and is now apparently so hurt by racial discrimination. Then there are her charming views on 'anchor babies' and immigrants.

She has supported a platform of closet racism and xenophobia for years, and although those who attack her racially are equally obnoxious, no it doesn't somehow justify her own party being vile and disgusting to an innocent student who actually wanted to help further the political debate on an important subject.

No, you lose the right to ever attack anyone about their ethnicity or gender. How stupid are you?

                            • I never said it was right. But to bring up Machen as a victim outside of the context of her own attacks excuses her own behavior.

No one here is justifying her on those points. Get a grip on reality.
