In my experience, guns now come in for major color groups:

    Stainless Steel / Chrome
    Black / Gray / "Blued"
    Camo (assorted)
    Pink.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I'd need something in natural wood so it wouldn't conflict with my crossbow.

I don't think the guns need to be real. Just like fake fur the guys that want to look cool can wear fake guns.

Guns would be a pretty awesome fashion accessory. Hey, Han Solo has one.

Incidentally, almost very state in the Union allows concealed carry. The vast majority allow it either without a permit or with a shall-issue permit. The number of murders committed by valid permit holders is vanishingly small.

It's like wearing a bearskin loincloth and carrying a battleaxe. It's certainly a bold statement, but not one that really works in the civilised world.

Is it true most states have laws about carrying swords? For example, it is illegal in Texas to carry any one of a number of weapons in public, including a sword, according to Texas Penal Code sections 46.01 and 46.02. Isn't that a contradiction?

I favor open carry for swords.

                Concealed carry can be...uncomfortable.

Not that I have done this...:cough: :cough:

But it is pretty easy to get anything short of artillery in the East Tennessee hills. Cash and carry...no questions asked.

I thought you could only get the semi-auto version with the long barrel.

I think I'd kind of like to get a 10/22 for occasional target shooting at some point. I hear they are really cheap used.

Yeah, you have one real one (which you pretty much never carry), and a number of fakes ones.

But you still would want to own the real one.

Just start out on Piney Mountain Road from Newport, TN and head "up". You'll find what your looking for...or rather, it will probably find you.

You can't buy the armor piercing 5.7 ammunition. The damn gun grabbers don't want you to be able to defend yourself properly.
