they're both BIG collectors of quality cars, and they're competing for the right to the first of this model.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Ming sounds like me. I'm sure you've pissed him off deluxe now.

That was definitely the problem with the Ferris Bueller spot. But it was entertaining.
Actually if you replay the Ferris commercial again you'll see that they show the car or him in it over a dozen times, and doing a close up on the model name or the Honda logo quite a few times.
Unlike other adds, they went out of their way to show the product and I had no problems remembering it.

It could be that because I just bought a car, I didn't really pay much attention to the vehicle. I was just into the Ferris Bueller references. Although I do fear that my failure to buy a Chrysler product might bring a pissed-off Clint Eastwood to my door...

It was nice to see the auto category dominating the ads this year. Seems like the industry is pretty healthy now.

Yep, my car is on it's final legs so maybe that made me more observant. But even the first time I saw the ad, I was impressed how much they actually showed the product considering the theme. It was interesting that the guy that ripped it, didn't get a lot of the original movie references which led him to believe it wasn't funny.

What's to discuss... you just make stuff up that's full of crap. You're theory doesn't even make sense.

Maybe next time, you might actually think for yourself and see that it doesn't apply.
But go ahead and continue thinking it's a waste of resources.
Maybe you should learn how to market/advertise yourself so you don't have to pay a girl to spend time with you.

You know Carroll Quigley made the point that those within and who profit by the institution will always defend it...

I'm with you Al. I think marketing/advertising is a soulless business.

Then again, I work in law so I can't press the point too strongly. Glass houses and all.

You mean like you and Filthadelphia?

I liked the Chrysler commercial with Clint Eastwood.

Albie, you don't come in insulting a persons occupation then complain that they don't know anything about it and are being mean.
