Oh, I don't mean that Apolyton should engage in some sort of formal protest against SOPA. I just mean that the legislation shouldn't be supported. SOPA is crap that at best accomplishes something that is already possible to accomplish in other ways (taking down copyright material) and at worst could be abused to destroy any portion of the internet with user generated content.

Under SOPA, I just (potentially) took down Poly and got a lawsuit filed against Plomp... (and I could have hidden it anywhere on the site, like a year old edit on a post that no one will ever see again)Comment
