It's not like the stigma suggests. It's not just teenagers and lazy jackasses. In every line of work, people do it. Regular people go home after a long day at work and take a puff off a joint or pipe. You're thinking abuse, not use. Abuse of anything is bad.
Is this a response to what I said? I just don't want to be guilty of dealing drugs that will injure individuals, families, businesses and the nation.

Shooting yourself in the head is bad for you. No, I'm not a scientist.

Kid, you're going way overboard. You act like legalization will tear the moral fabric of the country. I don't think it will have that much effect on number of users, or abusers.

Um... no. Let me be clear. I don't want to sell drugs.

Good thing nobody is proposing that you be forced to sell drugs, then.

Christ, Kid, it's one thing when you **** up every religion/ethics thread on the forum, but do you have to spread your stupidity everywhere?

I don't consider pot to be a drug, but I also don't like government intervention. You worry about things you can solve. Take the money spent on the war against drugs and the generated taxes and figure out the best way to utilize the funds.

The study looked at people who smoked one joint a week. I bet they wouldn't see all that much effect of people who smoked just one cigarette a week either. I have friends who smoke weed several times a day. And how does smoking a bowl compare to smoking a joint? I don't buy it.

That demands a further study in which test subjects are given marijuana, nicotine or nothing under controlled conditions.
Group 1 marijuana via a joint, Group 2 marijuana via a bong, Group 3 nicotine cigarettes, Group 4 nicotine via a Shisha and of course Group 5 as control group who isn´t allowed to smoke anything.

To be honest, the study does not look terribly well controlled or defined. The conclusion is more or less, "Well, I guess if you don't smoke too much pot you should be okay, I guess." Maybe the scientists doing the study were high?
