p.s. You kidding me? How China can exert its influence on the fractured states which are PUPPETS of their geopolitical enemy? Have you ever played any Paradox games? Influencing a puppet? Right, my ass.
    Life. Just like Europa Universalis.

What on earth makes you think that those fractured states will fall into American influence? America has no resources to make this happen. America is currently overstretched, and they know it.

If Russia falls, China will get the resources much cheaper... America needs a strong Russia which is aligned against China. Russia stands nothing from cooperating with China too closely, except if Russia accepts China's supermacy in the 21st century, and believes that the only way to prevent them from taking Siberia by demographics is through giving them what they want.

Well, I haven't played any Paradox games, but I have played Tetris, and that shows conclusively that all we have to do to manage China is fit another state into one of its concave parts, making it disappear. We got that handled.

As for the rest, war with China is one of the few things less likely than war with Russia. They're not quite as huge as Russia, but they're much more densely populated and thus harder to control. Also, we owe them a ton of money, and our economies are so tightly locked that a war would sink us both.

I'm really not buying any of the usual Yellow Peril rubbish either. Yes, China is growing, but they're effectively given up on communism and they're changing quite rapidly in ways that draw them closer to us. There are more active Christians (as measured by church attendance each Sunday) in China than in all of Western Europe, for example, and it's growing--along with all sorts of other religions. Their growing prosperity is leading more and more Chinese to appreciate what the outside world has. Before too long they're going to have to get with the program and liberalize. They'll be a rival, certainly, but the main thing that spooks us about China is the whole godless freedom-crushing communist bit, and that's simply not going to last.

How the **** can I explain this to you? If you do not see that if you are standing back to back with foreign puppets, that you are supporting those foreign puppets? You are SUPPORTING THOSE PUPPETS just by standing near them and nodding to their bullsh!t claims about the fraud. Don't you realize that? Haven't you seen what happened to the same brainless idiots who stood back to back with foreign puppets in Egypt, while naively thinking they just protest vs. Mubarak? To f*ck the Egypt, you forgot the hordes of brainless idiots who were on streets of Moscow who shouted "Gorby get the f*ck out, Eltsin forever!"? You don't recall how that ended up and you don't see you are doing absolutely the same now? You are the same brainless idiots as twenty years ago. The idiots who never learn. Idiots who's being manipulated exactly the same way as in USSR 20 years ago and other countries later. The same scenario everywhere.

By using the magic power of statistics. http://kobak.livejournal.com/101512.html
I told you - I do not read toilet paper.

That's why I say we need an end-to-end audit of the voting process.
        O M F G.
On every voting station there was at least a single observer from every party. And without the sign of this single observer the election protocol is not valid. Every observer from the parties (not to mention foreign monitors) got copies of this protocol.
EVERY, once again EVERY PARTY has possibility to calculate their results in real-time. Every party knows perfectly how much they've got. They know their numbers ALREADY. Because they have signed them.
Why the f*ck they you demand re-calculations now?

The Ukraine is quite fine, thank you very much. They got rid of Yushchenko themselves, they'll get rid of Yanoukovich, they'll get rid of Timoshenko. This is the only way you can learn and they have learned their lesson well. We've got to walk down the same path.
The idiots didn't get their own lesson in 1991, the same idiots didn't learn anything from our lesson of 1996. Finally, I hope, they got their lesson from their Orange idiotism. That's why they get back to Yanukovich.

Serb, get you math right. 38% is not the majority.
Majority is majority. The party who's got the support of majority of population gets the majority in the parliament. That's how any democracy works.

        Majority is 50%+.
        Bullsh!t.
You are talking about the constitutional majority. If a single party has 2/3 of the seats in parliament it can adopt any laws, 'cause they don't need the votes of opposition for that.

I do not want to see anyone come into power undemocratically.
Bullsh!t. You are doing exactly that. You are ignoring the opinion of majority to give the power to minority.

        UR is doing exactly that.
You can't prove that. Ты типичный буян с Майдана. Только тогда ты считал их баранами, а теперь сам стал одним из них. Возьми себя в руки и разуй глаза пока не поздно.
In the parliament we are talking about (
        UR 40%
        CPRF 25%
        JR 20%
        LDPR 15%
        Yabloko 5%
        )
Even in your "fantasy" parliament which has NOTHING common with reality and how people voted, UR is the major faction.
And the brainwashed idiots from the West have to realize that.
Even if we assume all loser's accusations are true, Putin's party is still the major party in the Russian parliament.

        SIMPLE AS THAT.

UR will be the largest faction (which is what you probably mean by the word "majority", but it will be balanced by the others. It will no longer be able to push the bills through.
You must be ignorant or something? With 50% of the seats in parliament the UR cannot pass the bills either. To adopt a law they still need the other parties. They don't have the constitutional majority now. There is no difference between 38% and 50%. You need 2/3 of the parliament.
Oh, come on. Let me quote them for you.
        What for?

        I still don't need Kasparov's, Kasyanov's, Ryzhkov's or any other losers whines.

        1) Release political prisoners. Don't tell me you like Article 282.
        2) Declare the election results null and void.
        3) Fire Vladimir Churov
        4) Relax the party creation laws
        5) New open Duma elections
        Oh, f*ck.
No threat of the Orange scenario. Right. You are blind, indeed.
        Wake-up, Neo.

Yes, this list is a bit tainted by the envy of the smaller non-parties, but it's not
        1) Hang Putin on the nearest lamppost
        2) Outlaw UR
        3) Invite NATO peacekeeping force
        or whatever your fears are.
Could you please stop your clownery? Do you really don't understand what I am talking about?

If it turns into anything resembling this list at any moment, I'll be the first one to mount the barricades with you.
Holy sh!t. I can't believe it. How can you be so... Do you honestly believe they will ask you?

What's illegal about these demands? Are you telling me we shouldn't try to change our country simply because we failed once?
Just open your eyes. When you've failed (YOU? really? how old are you?) you had the same slogans and what did you achive? A superpower ruined to the state of the third world country?

Now you want to do this AGAIN?
No f*cking way. NOT WITH MY COUNTRY.
F U C K YOU and your honest intentions on the road to the new hell.

It appears the Russian Othodox Church is calling for a more just election process (but they are, of course, just Western pawns):

Remarks by a prominent Orthodox spokesman appeared intended to get the church back out in front of individual clergy members’ condemnations of election rigging.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Serb is talking out of his ass, you need 1/2 to pass regular bills, 2/3 to pass constitutional bills and amend the constitution. Two thirds are also necessary to overcome presidential veto.

FYI, he's also talking out of his ass about the observers' rights.

Russia should just go ahead and surrender to China. Then they can have the totalitarian government they all secretly desire and the powerful economy they all secretly envy.

I'm breaking my self imposed break from poly to post this but I really want to hear what our Russian posters think of this video made by a Russian guy catching a Russian election official filling out fake ballots for Putin right in the polling station. How, oh how, shall Serb explain this one away?

Russian Electoral Official Caught on Camera Committing Voter Fraud

                          Today’s New York Times reports:
Western election monitors said on Monday that they had observed blatant fraud, including the brazen stuffing of ballot boxes, in the parliamentary elections that delivered surprisingly big losses to United Russia, the party led by Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin.

The video below was taken by a Russian citizen who suspected that an election official was trying to discretely mark ballots. Posted with the video was an explanation in Russian; according to Google Translate, it says:
Electoral fraud in the polling station number 2501! Chairman of the commission fills the ballot! Article 142 of the Criminal Code: Falsifying election documents, documents of the referendum) is certainly incorrect counting of votes or knowingly incorrect determination of the election, referendum, violating the secrecy of voting, if these acts were committed by a member of the Election Commission, the initiative group or referendum commission – punishable by a fine from five hundred to seven hundred times the minimum wage or salary or other income for a period of five to seven months, or imprisonment for a term of four years.

Looks like democracy is still a hope and not yet a reality in the former totalitarian country. But then again, does anyone really believe that Putin has any profound convictions about seeing Russia become a moral, ethical, open, free democracy?

USSR had nuclear weapons deployed everywhere across the Soviet empire. In 1991 USSR collapsed on 15 independent states. Only Russia kept its nuclear status, all others were disarmed pretty quickly.

It's no good asking Serb this, so for the rest of you: when the USSR broke down, didn't some of the nukes get, erm, lost in the paperwork? I.E., we're still not 100% certain where all the old weapons went? I thought that was the case.

And China's rise may be aided by Russian materials, or delayed by the denial of same. But such a denial will not stop it from rising, and if Russia did splinter there's no reason why those splintered regions would be unable to deal with China as well as with us. Unless, of course, we borrow money from China to buy new toys to threaten the Chinese with. That'll go over well.

LOL. This is clearly a performance video. To buy this bullsh!t one should have never seen how Russian voting stations look like and how people work there.
Just for your information, that "chairman" had to fake all signs in the lists of voters. You can't just take the ballot and fill it for someone else. When you come to the voting station you have to show your passport, they compare your passport data with their list of voters, if you are in the list you get your ballot and sign the list, if you are not - you go to your voting station. Then you go to the cabin which are not open like on this fake video where you fill your ballot. Every ballot has a protection level of a bank note, you can't just print it on your printer. But even if you do, firstly you can't just throw it in the urn unnoticed 'cause there are always observers and a policeman nearby who closely watch it (no single observer nearby the urn is a joke and there are no single policeman on this fake video too). Also, if there are let's say 3 thousands registered voters on this voting station and only 2000 came and voted you have 2000 signs in the list of voters, if you want to throw-in more ballots you have to fake their signs too. You can't do this unnoticed. Just can't because every moron nowadays has a phone with camera and doing this is a crime. WHY THE **** ONE WOULD RISK DOING A CRIME while he can be so easily caught and has very little chance of success? What's his personal gain for doing this? And you want to convince me that tens and tens of millions of votes were stolen like that? Don't make me f*cking laugh. Only western idiots like you can by this bullsh!t fakes. That "chairman" fills ballots in the middle of the day. Ok, he faked the sign of the real voters too. What if the real voters come and demand their ballot?
Sorry mister Ivanov, but you have already voted, here is your fake sign. Right?
And there supposed to be tens of millions of such voters.

                                IDIOTS.

This fake only proves that so-called protesters prepared such fakes long before the elections, that they have planned to start their protests no matter what, no matter how the elections were held. They knew they can't win in legal way.

One thing is to get support of 20 millions of voters, another is to bring 20 thousands on to the streets.

This fake is the same bullsh!t your brainwashing media has feed you about Serbian atrocities in Kosovo, about Saddam's weapons of mass destruction, about the war in South Ossetia, about Gaddafy bombing peaceful demonstrations, etc, etc.

Same old good cup of bullsh!t. Just like this gem from theFox News:

This is how your media told you protests in Moscow look like. A ****ing war. And it doesn't matter if it is totally faked and there are Greek riots on the video. Who the f*ck cares? Putin is teh EVIL. That's the only thing what our fellow sheeps should learn.
Hopeless sheeps. I'm out of here. Brainless zombies.
