Oh, I didn't notice. All (both?) the people who get really worked up over copycat threads appreciate your efforts, I'm sure.

Galnemer and I have discussed this at length several times; some scientific names have already been mentioned here (Neil deGrasse Tyson, Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, Tesla).
I think Hitchens is an inspired choice. We think Mike Rowe would make a hilarious guest. Other more modern commentators/celebrities would have to include Colbert and/or Stewart.
Various medieval and Renaissance writers (Shakespeare, Chaucer, Milton, Machiavelli) and thinkers/artists (Da Vinci, Michelangelo) have also been possibilities, as have several "female leaders in a man's world," such as Catherine, Elisabeth, Jeanne d'Arc, and Boudicca."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud

WRT women in a man's world, my wife and I have a certain fondness for Christine de Pizan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_de_Pizan
Her end of the querelle is actually pretty funny.

Well, obviously, if we have invented a time machine and/or a resurrection device, we'd have mastered universal translator technology. Duh.

I don't think he's a deity. Even a good number of Buddhists don't think he's a deity (I don't know the ratio of Theravada to Mahayana, nor the exact Mahayana conception of Buddha).

Sorry, still not a Buddhist. No offense meant.
