Willis went to the emergency room, where he received prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medications. Willis couldn't afford both, so he chose the pain medications.

Amoxicillin is the most common antibiotic given for toothaches.

Reading this thread the only sensible conclusion is this:

Every American who dies from preventable diseases due to lack of insurance is dumb.

Well the rest of the world already knows that America is full of dumb Americans, so it is no suprise that one dies every 12 minutes... and I bet they will be dying even faster in the future... evolution in action.

The stronger survive, and the weak well... they may want to immigrate to Europe, or Canada... but won't ... because they are dumb... it's self-explanatory.

The sad thing is that those deaths are not only unnecessary, Americans actually pay more per person for health care than France -- which provides universal care.

                  The Cost Of Care

It's expensive to provide this kind of health care and social support. France's health care system is one of the most expensive in the world.

But it is not as expensive as the U.S. system, which is the world's most costly. The United States spends about twice as much as France on health care. In 2005, U.S. spending came to $6,400 per person. In France, it was $3,300.
Like the United States, France relies on both private and government insurance, with most people getting insurance through their employers. But in a ranking of 19 industrial nations, France is at the top of the list for health care quality, while the United States ranks last.

We pay more and have more deaths and suffering and bankruptcy for purely political reasons. It doesn't make sense if you are a true advocate of costs savings. It doesn't make sense from a humanitarian angle. It doesn't make sense if you want to avoid bankruptcies. It doesn't make sense if you want to encourage people to be free to take a job without having to think about benefits.

The only beneficiaries of our system are politicians who rail against socialized medicine.
