What exactly is the difference? How are other government services like protection from getting murdered not freebies?

Quite true. Why have police when people can protect themself with guns ? Oh, you can't afford to buy a heavier gun than the bad guys ? Too bad, that's not societys problem.

              Thanks. Fitting photo.

Some US counties are getting out of the policing biz for financial reasons. Why don't libertarians move there?

Oh, and get well soon. If you still have swelling in 3 or 4 days, kill someone rich, take their card and see a doctor. If you get caught, you will get free medical care for life! In America, Federal inmates deserve free medical care - regular tax payers do not- What a country!

At least get some crutches and keep your weight off of it for about 4 or 5 days. Elevate it as often as possible, put cold pcks on it. If it doesn't improve ask yourself how much money you're going to lose if you don't get it taken care of.

I'm keeping it elevated. I'm going to sleep with a pillow under it. I may start with trying a cane. No fluid collection, so that's good.

                        From that artice :

constitutional duties such as staffing the jail
If that is true, how can private jails be legal ?

                          I don't think that's a constitutional duty.

This time I'm willing to believe sloww, 'cause he's wounded and not from Alabama.

Hey Sloww, do you think you could get the VA to believe that the injury took place at a Veterns' Day service? Maybe you'd qualify for care then...
