If Perry did get elected it would almost be worth it just to hear the wing nuts declare how he wasn't really a conservative after he causes the whole country to go to hell. Conservatives are almost like communists in that every time their stupid ideology fails they declare it's "never really been tried because none of them were really conservative". Watching them run away from both Bush's was hilarious.
