Spot on. But you know, it's not surprising to read the reports about psychopathic behaviour being significantly more prevalent among people in the management, financial (etc) sectors

True, and I suppose if it keeps them from commiting vile acts on humans and animal it's probably a positive thing in the long run.

Krazyhorse is an irredeemably insignificant nincompoop and a grotesque sheep-molesting object of execration.

At this point I have read enough of your vitriolic, narrowminded bull**** to safely tell you to go **** yourself you silly little man. Like so many in your line of work you have a shallow limited intellect which you mistake for genius. You react to opposing views with nasty, poisonous personal attacks because you are incapable of debating like an adult and accepting that perhaps someone else may have something to teach you. Maybe in your work the one who shouts loudest gets the biggest bonus, but in real life it just makes you sound like a *****.
It didn't take you long to figure KH out, and I'm sure that you've figured out that HC takes every opportunity to ... well you know, as well.

Goldman Sachs wouldn't hire me as a janitor. So now I'm offering to do KH's job for half of his salary.

There's a difference between inconsistency of principles and inconsistency of positions. The members of the tea party are generally aligned with each other on their positions. They have some positions which are inconsistent with stated principles. The OWS weirdos don't share consistent positions, and a large minority (majority?) of them appear to not have any articulated position at all, other than anger at their own personal financial situation.

How long are you guys going to buy into this tired old belief that some industries should be allowed to basically do whatever they like because then they might provide jobs? This is a large part of what has caused the whole OWS stuff. Big businesses will start new projects and will hire people simply because they want to make money. They are not going to suddenly stop trying to make money because you require them to be responsible about it. They'll grumble, and they'll ***** and then they'll do as they are told and continue trying to make money anyway.
                      1) What's "caused" OWS is the same thing which "caused" the anti-globalization protests of the 90s: soft-headed criticism of an existing way of doing things by those lacking either the capacity or the inclination for thinking beyond the sort of primitive moralisms you've been spouting in this thread.

                      2) No, it's not about employment. The fact that the conversation always turns to employment is a major failing of popular discourse

                      3) Nobody here (so far as I can tell) has suggested that anybody be allowed to "do whatever they like". Pollution is one of the classic examples of a market failure (it is a negative externality). The question is one of implementation, you stupid ****, and the criticisms leveled have been about implementation.

                      4) Hi bool. I'm a double; have you met me before?

Who cares about "knowingly"? The whole point of a price system is that I don't need to figure out these things for myself. If there are externalities, ensure they are priced (through any of the handful of generally accepted ways of doing so).

Yeah, like that is going to happen in this country. Just look at how we can't even get people to pay for their carbon externalities.
