No. The Metropolitan Church of Canada has been marying gay couples since the '70s.

          Presbyterians are Calvinists.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Nominally, at least. My mother in law is a Presbyterian, and my wife says they tend to downplay the whole free-will-is-an-illusion angle these days.

Yeah, the "purest" Calvinists are likely to be found in the Reformed Church of America (AKA "Dutch Reformed") these days.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

There aren't "sects" of Christianity. There is one church that, since the split, has followed the teachings of Christ. Orthodox is Christian. Other religions are offshoots and may consider themselves to be Christian, but they aren't. People raised in those groups may correctly follow the teachings of Christ in such a manner to be correctly called Christian without necessarily attending Orthodox service. But the official institutions... Catholic and Protestant... are not Christian. Catholicism, historically and the modern entity, is little more than a political entity... a kingdom... now, more like a corporation. The Protestants... well, they were right in their criticisms... but the Anglicans were nothing more than Henry's version of the Catholic Kingdom... created so he could have more wives. Lutherans and Calvins were the Mormons of their day... less creepy... but twisted the teachings of Jesus to suit economic ideologies.

Christianity stems from Judaism. Catholicism and Protestantism stems from Christianity.

But Catholicism and Protestantism aren't Christian any more than Christianity is Jewish!

There are similarities. But Catholics and Protestants went their separate ways from Christianity a long time ago.

Some may wish to return or try to reclaim the "title". That's fine. You can call yourselves whatever you want. But being a Christian is not about what you call yourself. It's very clear. It's not about following Leviticus and hating gay people. It's not about following all sorts of other Old Testament nonsense to justify weird and creepy views on sex or abortion.

Jesus made things very clear. And if you don't go by what he says, you aren't a Christian. And that's fine. Nobody says you have to follow him. The Ten Commandments? Jesus said you didn't need them all. Those are for the Jews. You don't need to worry about the other god or coveting ox nonsense. Read Matthew.

Christians that think the Ten Commandments are relevant weren't paying attention in Sunday school.

Let the Jews and Muslims worry about not eating pork and all that nonsense. They can fight over that worthless piece of desert until they kill each other. Good for them. And let the devil worshiping so called "Evangelicals" throw gas into that fire. Bravo. You can all go to hell.

Btw, I'm not saying all Jews and Muslims are going to hell. Just the ones blowing people up.

Because the things I say may sound offensive. Here's what equates "going to hell":
                killing
                stealing
                lying
adultery (betrayal of your partner... not necessarily having sex outside of a ridiculous social institution)
                dishonoring your fam
being a rich bastard (kinda the same as stealing)
screwing over people (kinda the same as being rich)

So basically, don't do this stuff... and you are good. You can believe in KlipturrrBAZ from the galaxy DURKA for all I care. But if you are a good person, we got no problem. I might make fun of you. But I'm not gonna firebomb your house or stop you from dating my daughter... unless you are creepy old.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I would vote for Gnostics (or Marcionists) of course which have a good way (well, IMHO the best) of explaining the discrepancies between the old and the new testament (cruel god vs. loving god) and were also influenced by Buddhism in many ways.

Unfortunately they were a christian version which wasn´t aimed at the masses, but rather at the intellectals, were divided (many gnostic sects with slightly different versions of their faith) and didn´t believe in s strict church hierarchy which is why they were successfully declared heretics and hunted down, after the paulinists came to power in the roman empire.

As you didn´t include them in the list, I voted for "other"
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "I am the Harbinger of Death. I arrive on winds of blessed air. Air that you no longer deserve."
Tamsin (Lost Girl): "He has fallen in battle and I must take him to the Einherjar in Valhalla"
