  • Human capability of racism/prejudice against Jews and the international community's inability to hold Israel at the same standard as the rest of the world never ceases to amaze me. They might not be perfect but they are not close as bad as some of the real bad guys out there.

This post would make a lot more sense if you acknowledged Israel gets preferential treatment.

Do you think if North Korea or Iran acted as Israel does, they would get a big thumbs up?

I'm completely baffled by the racism/prejudice comment.

I think it is more sophisticated than that actually. Implicitly, a blockade is only legal in the context of international armed conflict, which means that Israel has been found to be at war with Hamas.

That would in turn mean that Hamas has an equal right to "blockade" Israel. I'm sure Israel is thrilled at that prospect. Of course, they too have to follow the law of the seas, but things would get interesting if next thing we'll see Hamas start boarding ships bound for Israel... How realistic that is, I'll leave to everybody's imagination.

        • Well Turkey isn't feeling Israel too much right now.

          • I hope that's another ghettoism, otherwise it's a pretty creepy comment.
