Why not provide such "therapy" to Jews, to have them change their behavior to fit more in line with Christians' "traditional" values?
It's not illegal to sit down with someone and talk about their beliefs or feelings and nor should it be. And nor does it qualify as bigotry to do so. And nor does it equate to imposing beliefs.

      –noun, plural -ries.
      1.
stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
      2.
the actions, beliefs, prejudices, etc., of a bigot.

I guess when I use the word "bigoted" in this thread, I've been thinking of it as based on actions that bigots can partake in, toward people of the targeted group.
Actually you sound like a bigot under that definition with the stupid responses and labels like "self-hating gay."

It seems that you are very intollerant.

What is bigoted about thinking some gay people hate themselves because of social pressures?

There's several things to say about your response.
First, he isn't talking about gays, but he's talking about gays that believe differently. It's a hateful remark.

Second, I know I've told you this before but you must need it repeated, not everyone is a Christian because of social pressure.

Third, I don't know why you don't understand why you can't see plainly why it's bigoted to not respect people because they believe in christian civilization.

            • Would it be bigoted to say I don't like Nazis? (disclaimer: I am not claiming all Christians are like Nazis)

Yes, and for the record I like Nazis even though they are bigots.

                    • If you look at the effect of opium on the Chinese Empire and look at the effect of crack on Moreland Avenue in Atlanta you will know that legalizing heroin, cocaine and etc is not a good idea.

                      • But crack isn't even legal in Atlanta, is it? How effective have the laws against crack been?

Honestly, it feels like a losing battle. I just imagine, how much worse things would be if certain drugs were legal. I actually think the laws on drugs should be tougher. Drugs don't necessarily effect everyone the same so you may know a functioning crackhead, coke addict, heroin addict, pot head or alcoholic but the ones who are not functioning cause the most crime and the most problems in society.
                          For example,
gribbler, let's assume that you don't smoke crack. Let's assume you have a nice house in some residential area. Now we have another guy miles away that can't hold a job because all he can think about is crack. So one night, he decides to go to your house and steal the copper piping under your house and in your air conditioning unit.
I would think that at this point you would want tougher laws against drug addicts to get them off the streets and out of your neighborhood.
Now on the flip side, we decide to legalize cocaine, heroin, crack and/or marijuana. Which one of these guys would you hire if you knew that they did any of these drugs. I would not trust any of these guys to effectively serve me at a fast food restaurant. I know from personal experience that people who are high tend to be less reliable in the food service industry. This includes being late for work, being unable to fill an order correctly, ability to focus and work efficiently.
I am aware that some of you may do some of these drugs and be number 1 in your field but a good percentage of people are negatively effected by drugs IMHO. When you look at your friends and family that you consider to be losers/lazy or some other negative term how many of them DO NOT do drugs. In my mind and experience the greatest commonality between the most unsuccessful people is drugs. Once again, acknowledging that some people like myself were born poor and my parents did not do drugs.
