Alby, no joke. I think you should give the same dedication to your social life that you give too fitness. You are obviously physically healthy, but your social life at your age does not seem so. Think about the ladies in these videos, they do more than just workout. So do other athletes and fitness junkies.

Alby, I've done this exercise but it was not called a burpee. I can't remember exactly what it was called. Alby remember people from different places have different names for things.

The link Alby provides lists 8 count bodybuilders as a burpee. No dispute. Still in, Georgia, Connecticut, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Texas, California, Virginia and Florida I have only heard the exercise called bodybuilders. Even the numerous variations.

This is probably because English is a living language and better sounding words will probably live while a not so so cool word like burpee will probably die out in usage.

Pax, 8 counts are slightly different. A standard burpee is six count (squat, kick back, push down, push up, kick front, jump).

The six count is called a burpee at Marine Corps OCS.
