What a ridiculous post. You act as if poverty is nothing more than a product of poor upbringing and/or genetics and that children of immigrants will not be successful because their parents were so lazy they traveled thousands of miles.

Canada is very picky that's why so far the immigrants haven't been a net drain overall . Just because its very picky today dosen't mean this will last. Eventually the standard of living in the US will drop below Canada's sufficently for there to be a economic incentive to immigrate ilegally, this will be especially true of the lower classes. Also there will only ever be more asylum seekers and I can't see Canada becomine less humanitarian in that regard.

East Asians don't present a problem at all, if anything a country that would accept more of them would probably raise its standard of living. The highly selected Indians that make it to the US also don't represent a problem, for now.

The US's global standing and importance will slowly decline compared to today up untill the 2040 due to the changing demographics and lower productivity, however it will still be a awesome place to live compared to most states in the New World. Haiti is too small to cause problems, Brazilian immigration is a trickle, mass immigration from Europea and Africa seems unlikley for now. However by 2100 it will be utterly outclassed by places like Korea (North Korea will need less than 40 years to catch up to the US once the current regime falls), China and Japan. This dosen't mean the US will suck by modern standards, life will probably still be better than it is today. The US's standard of living compared to China will be about that of Brazil compared to the US currently.

The Europe of 2100 will be much worse off. It will be the new Middle East (it won't be under Sharia by a long strech, it will however have the political stability and economic dynamism of Lebanon).

Where will the US find the funds to expand and update its infrastructure for its rapidly expanding population? The great financial strain of supporting both identity politics goodies and elderly entitlement? Its large expenses abroad?

The US will not be a superpower because it simply won't be able to afford it. Standards of life as I say may still rise but the gains will be much smaller than the gains made by Japan, China and Korea or a hypothetical USA that deported all illegals and didn't have birthright citizenship.

"Rapidly expanding" population? The US population has been growing at ~1% a year for the last decade. How is diluting the infrastructure per capita at a rate of 1% a year a serious problem?

i'm not going back to israel. the country gives me the creeps. there's people with guns everywhere, the continuous negotiation for everything is tiresome, and everybody's so bloody paranoid.

No different then other places in that part of the world. Our company had a conference in Cairo a few years back. One of the events was eating dinner on the Nile on small boats. The buses we road to the staging area all had armed security people on them. When we arrived the shore was lined with soldiers all armed with automatic weapons. Once on the boats, military boats were posted at the perimeter of where our boats were. And gunships were flying overhead. There had been recent incidents and the Government couldn't afford to another embarrassment. It was probably all overdone a bit but it made you feel more secure and I would go back again. Another event was riding camels out to the pyramids and eating nearby. Sometimes it's good to work for an international company.
