I'm taking Kuci's word. I don't imagine that he's lying.

Banks usually need security not because of the risk of robbery (what is a security guard really going to do in that situation?) but because of the occasional unruly customer irate about his money.

I guess if you live in a house with 6 bathrooms, you never get angry about a money matter.

I have noticed I've been increasingly rude lately. The ghetto psychology of imitating one's surroundings that I referenced in the above post apparently is catching me here on Apolyton where I'm mimicking the behavior of the *******s like you, KH, etc.

Do you know what else is rude? Making a habit of approaching discussions as if those who do not share your neighbours, experiences, and tastes are wrong or defective, that's rude too.

You have valuable things to say. I learn a lot from listening to people who are from different places on these forums, but often what you have to say is drowned out by the attitude. Much like KH of late.

Well so there are murders every year in Fairfax; just they're rare. What are they murdering people about? A wife murders her husband for sleeping with the maid?

No 'overt' security doesn't mean there's no covert security, and things like bullet proof glass are to stop the opportunistic addict trying a quick rip to get a few dollars for their next fix... and they rarely have the means/motivation to travel far out of their usual stomping grounds.

No overt security makes somewhere seem safer than somewhere with loads of barriers and guards visible. Why would you need those things if the place was safe? So it'll also make their rich Fairfax customers feel comfortable and secure.
