Dude, I'm not about to get lectured on life experiences by a closeted gay marine wannabe bank teller who hasn't earned more than 15/hour in his life and has pretty much never left Philadelphia. And also sucks at math.

I attribute the drop in Washington's violent crime to the dying out of the crack cocaine epidemic. There are other factors, such as the gentrification of large swaths of the city.

The city was a really rough place in 1993 and people were hyped up -- you could feel the hostility walking down the street.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Clearly the Gingrich revolution saved DC.

In all seriousness, Republican congresses are the best thing ever to happen to the DC government because those retards can't seem to be able to manage home rule.

It's not because it's black, it's because the government in DC is a corrupt cesspool of idiot lunatics. This is a fact.

Just read about Kwame Brown's two fully-loaded Cadillac SUVs. Or Lorraine Green.

Regarding Fairfax crime rates, Jaguar had a bit of a culture shock moving here from MD when he found out the banks have literally no overt security whatsoever. They are just like the waiting area at, say, a doctor's office, but with nicer furniture.

I've never actually been to a bank that had visible security, so I found that pretty funny...

I take it you have never seen a teller behind bullet-proof glass either with only the small slot to pass currency?

Beyond that, which is true, do you not wonder about unseen security? The observation in agreement is to you, but the question is directed to Kuci, so don't get excited, Alby.

Another point about youth committing the crimes, and this may be hard for some to wrap their head around, but at some point children doing crime are going to have to face adult penalties. A person shot dead doesn't care about how old was the killer. Dead is dead.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Hell no. I could just walk around to the other side of the counter if I wanted, but they'd probably get annoyed at me.

Out of curiosity, if you were Black and did the same thing, what would happen?

If he was black and had sagging pants I think they'd call the cops.

Who am I kidding? A Black man steps foot in Fairfax County and the 'concerned citizens' picking up their kids from soccer practice will be calling the police ASAP. "A strange man is walking through the neighborhood"
