So n is a different variable? Well I'm clueless how to solve it.

How do I solve an equation with multiple variables when there are exponents and factorials? I was taught this in high school but I don't remember this.

HC, sometimes I think you wake up each morning wondering aloud to yourself how you can look even more like a pompous ass douchebag on the internet.

I don't know how to solve it. I don't have the base knowledge of what to do with exponents and factorials. I don't see how that's opportunity for scorn. Let's see how many people on Apolyton know how to do this so you can ridicule them.

Hey better watch out, Cockney. You're going to get called a ******.

I haven't seen anything like this in college. And I placed out of required university math for finance.

Would he act indignant and defensive if someone said he sucks at math? I doubt it.

Must be from earlier D&D days. I still have many 4,8,12,20 sided dice at home.

The official solution onodera posted uses arithmetic sequences. I just saw that n was probably 5 and so k had to be 3, and a little bit of tweaking revealed that there probably weren't any other solutions.

It's in Russian so I don't understand the explanation.

How did they get to n = 7m in this version with different numbers?

The answers onodera posted appear to be for a slightly different version with different parameters. As I said, they used arithmetic sequences.

What does arithmetic sequences mean? Trial and error?

I should clarify that they are perhaps using some other sequence-based argument. I just saw the a[n], a[n-1] etc. in the answer page (which I can't otherwise read) and assumed.

And I did, too. Haven't seen it since at least high school.
