For the record, #17 shouldn't even require any of these "sines, logs, n!" as you put it. You should be able to solve that with a pencil and graph paper.

Again, maybe 17 and 18 are genuinely tough problems even if you have the required knowledge to solve them. I don't know. However, considering how absurdly easy 1,2,5,6, and 12 were, I'm not too expectant that 17 and 18 would be that difficult, given the knowledge on how to solve such problems.

Also it's hilarious that you think that counts as a "macroeconomics problem".

For standardized math test math? Yes. Pretty much. See my above post for clarification of my doubts but I suspect, yes.

There is zero knowledge required to solve #17. The only knowledge required to solve #18 is the definition of a ****ing factorial.

I'm sorry is the money supply not an issue in MACROeconomics?

And the ENTIRE point of my illustration was to take something incredibly simple and demonstrate that if you don't possess some pretty straight-forward and hardly arcane knowledge, that you would not know how to do it. Pay attention.

What the **** is n superscript k+1? What does that mean?

You're underestimating the knowledge of math required to do this stuff. It's high school knowledge but I don't know it. Haven't seen it since 10th grade or something.

Is it asking for the values of k for which 5(30k+11) = the factorial of k+1 - the factorial of k ? That can't be right though. Just eye-balling it, that wouldn't make sense. What does n mean?

Onodera is this test from "ЕГЭ по математике"?

Please tell me each of these questions is a joke, and that you really have heard of exponentiation and equations in multiple variables.

Otherwise: what the hell is wrong with you? How did you get a degree in finance, an allegedly quantitative subject?

that could only be true assuming that value can always, completely and objectively be quantified...
