And I'll just wait for Oerdin's clarification. He may back-track but I'm pretty positive that his response was to the idea that immigrants weren't intermarrying with Anglos.

Many of us would like nothing more. For the time being, a majority of the people in N. Ireland wish to remain a part of Britain because they are descended from Scots and fear their children being raped by Catholic priests.

Hopefully, when Scotland secedes, they can take Norn fackin Ireland with them.

And btw, last time I checked, the majority of the people of the Republic of Ireland were in no hurry to take over the six counties and all the associated problems either.

          Nice try though.

As far as I know, the "native" British descended people of the USA were never overwhelmed by the immigrants, the USA received lots of immigrants, but over a period of more than a century, in constant absorbable waves.

In Argentina, European immigration was comparatively more important than in the USA. Because of Immigration, in Argentina the population jumped from around 1.800.000 in 1870 to 14.000.000 in 1940, almost an eightfold increase. And still according to genetic studies, around 55% of Argentines have some native american ancestry.

What happened is that in 1870 an italian immigrant would marry a hispanic part spanish part amerindian girl, their offspring would marry other european immigrants, and that would continue till ww2 when immigration suddenly ended. After a few generations of marrying immigrants, the offspring eventually would look like regular italians or spaniards and would have no idea about their mestiza great great grandmother.

In the USA from 1870 to 1940 the population only increased three times and a half, I think the mixing of the immigrants with the people who were already in the USA must have been even greater than Argentina.

And all american blacks have some white british ancestry from plantation days.

Then of course after 1945 Argentina had a modest influx of high-ranking German officials. With the probable help of the Vatican and OSS/CIA.

****ing stupid ****. Your analogy is not relevant.

                        Populations in 1900 vs. 2000
UK: 38.2M... 59.1M +55% in 100 years (no mass emigration as far as I know)
France: 40.7M... 59M +45% in 100 years (no mass emigration as far as I know; the wars probably were costly though)
                        US: 75.9M... 281.4M +270% in 100 years

I'm assuming native-born American birthrates weren't different from those in the UK or France. I'm assuming the divergence in population growth is entirely due to immigration.

As for Argentina, take a look at this:

It's more than the US but the US foreign-born population wasn't meager

                            1880: 13.3%
                            1900: 13.6%
                            1930: 11.6%

And second-generation immigrants remained in their ethnic enclaves; only in third and plus generations do inter-marriage rates go up (and for a family that came to America in 1930, we're about the age of the third generation).

However, considering the distribution of ethnicities, the Italians that came into Brooklyn or South Philly when they inter-married they married Irish, Poles, Jews, Puerto Ricans, and other recent immigrant groups.

I don't even know where these English-Americans are. That map shows Maine and Utah. Sounds about right. It's rare to find a white person with an Anglo name like Johnson or Smith in Philly.

I don't have it! Holy **** ******. It's not that ****ing hard to understand? Why you think I noted certain groups and then said specifically, anyone that came here in the 20th century?! My family was 20th century immigrants.
