I know what the attrition rate is like, I know how well I did in OCS before my injury, I know my scores on the training evolutions, I know what the CO, OCS recommended, etc. I know better than any of you and I know the Marine Corps will be glad to have me once I complete my 10 weeks without getting physically disqualified for an injury.

Some conditions have to be met for a cheque to be considered invalid (i.e. write 'SPECIMEN' on it). Those conditions aren't the same everywhere. IIRC the spammer sent an invalid cheque according to CA law to another state where the conditions weren't the same, so the smartass cashed it in and amazingly it worked.

Yes, I spent 20 years in the Navy and retired at 0-3E(LT). I think there was another guy on this website that was also a Naval Officer. Part of being successful in OCS or anything is being determined and not giving up. If this is what you want, don't quit no matter how much **** gets thrown at you and by the way **** will be thrown at you.

Thank you, sir. I attended 7 weeks of Marine OCS in the Fall of 2008. I was not prepared physically, struggled, and was dropped with the recommendation to re-apply. I re-applied and attended an OCC class in the winter of 2010 (30 inches of snow!), did very well, but developed fractures in my shins which made me not physically qualified to complete OCS; I was dropped the 7th week with the recommendation from the CO, OCS to attend the abbreviated 6-week course for Naval Academy grads. Unfortunately, MCRC had other plans and I can only attend a full OCC course.

I am as comfortable as anyone can ever get with the OCS experience since I've done 14 weeks of it so far through two different classes. I know what it is like and there will be no surprises. If anything, it'll be a little boring
