The USA remains the 3rd largest producer of oil in the World. Canada is 6th. Much of US consumption can be stopped in an emergency via rationing, enough for the week it'd take to invade the useful parts of Canada which are within easy reach of the US border.

I am not sure why noone mentioned invading Russia... they still have oil and they would not mind being invaded to free them from Putin tyranny, free Russians and get lots of oil, it's win win, better than Iraq
