                    There's a law in the NL which says you can pronounce your name any way you like. If memory serves me correctly, because there was a bakery a long time ago run by a baker going by the last name "poepjes", which literally means shìt, so customers were buying "shìt bread". He decided to pronounce his name in a very fancy way, something like shæt, which made it sound Norwegian

                                Yeah when Plomp and Zoets were giving me the "like the 'o' in ___", I didn't know how to take it because I imagined Dutch people would pronounce English words in non-Native English speaker ways... as in English wit an accent.

                                To be clear to Plomp, MikeH is referring to the FIRST 'o' in robot is the same as the 'o'.

                                The 'ro-' rhymes with go. The '-bot' rhymes with got.
